Event description : Debbie Robins, movie/TV producer and executive/corporate coach , will sign her first book, “Where Peace Lives,” a book of timeless wisdom for people of all ages. Written in parable form, “Where Peace Lives” is a magical journey to free an angel named Peace who’s been locked in a box and can’t escape. Inspired by the universal teachings of Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Buddha, Jesus Christ, Moses and Muhammad, the story teller (who is never mentioned by name, gender or age, so each reader can make this journey their own) discovers that the “Three Keys to Peace” are not physical keys. To learn what they are, Robins invites you to read the book.

Renowned actress Dey Young will read a chapter of the book aloud, taking on each of the different characters to bring it to life. Dey has been seen in the films, “Flicka,” “Red Eye,” and “Pretty Woman.” She’s also been a guest star in many TV shows, such “Boston Legal,” “Crossing Jordan” and “West Wing.”

Beneficiary of event: City Hearts, a non-profit, arts-based program of prevention and critical intervention providing the most at-risk kids in the poorest neighborhoods with vital, quality arts education that enhances literacy, social and academic skills while building a sense of community ( www.cityhearts.org) and Earth Rights Institute, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to creating a global culture of peace and justice (www.earthrights.net).

A portion of proceeds of all sales of Where Peace Lives” (not just those from this event) will benefit Earth Rights Institute and City Hearts.

People can purchase balloons that may contain prizes, such as spa packages, jewelry, event tickets, etc.

All attendees will receive a copy of “Where Peace Lives.”

Cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres: Wine will be served from Malibu Family Wines, Liquid Salvation water and various cocktails will be served.
