VICTOR ROBERT
Victor Robert has been creating pictures and telling stories for as long as he can remember.
He began his studies at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where he trained as a traditional illustrator and digital 3D computer animator. Upon graduation the college awarded Victor an Honors term during which he directed a 3D animated short entitled "The Yellow Umbrella."
The film showed internationally and won a Student Academy Award.
Victor has since established himself in the Hollywood film industry and the advertising world as a unique illustrator, storyteller and visual consultant.
His professional portfolio is wide-ranging and includes storyboarding, concept design, and commercial directing for diverse list of companies such as Mattel, Bombay Sapphire Gin, Klasky Csupo, and Burger King. His film work includes South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut and most recently he served as Rough Layout Supervisor for the Paramount Pictures release of Barnyard the Movie.
Victor's art is inspired by Flannery O'Connor, Inka Essenhigh, and Roald Dahl. Currently, he is focused on developing a 3D illustrated children's book based on the extraordinary life of Brian Wonders.
Now Victor has paired with author Debbie Robins as the illustrator on her upcoming series of books, the next of which is Where Happiness Lives.
Victor was born in Puerto Rico and currently lives in the Los Angeles area.
